We currently have a contract position available for an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to work in Columbia, Virginia.

The initial assignment will be at our project located in Columbia, Virginia. Opportunities for continued work beyond this project are available to our various on-going projects in the U.S.
Working with site Project Management and the Head Office operations and service teams, our Heavy Equipment Field Mechanics perform routine maintenance, modifications and repairs on a wide variety of industry standard and custom-made equipment.
The successful applicant will:

Have a thorough knowledge of diesel engine/generator service and repair

Have a thorough knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems

Have a thorough knowledge of electronics and electrical systems

Have general knowledge and experience servicing heavy equipment

Be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and English language communication skills, both written and oral.

Possess the ability to work individually and integrate with work performance as part of a team.

Be available to work overtime and shift work, as required.

Have the ability to safely and freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Hold a valid driver’s license and independent means of transportation to work locations.
