Position Description:
Lead continuous improvement activities in support of day to day operations. Providing lean thought leadership that aligns with plant and corporate initiatives. Ensure Operations achieve business metrics through the elimination of non-value-added activity.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Create systems, layouts, tools and plans to ensure all products meet quality, cost, service, and safety standards.
• Develop standards, capacity plans, and system designs by working with all levels of organization, customers (internal & external), suppliers and contractors.
• Lead improvement projects to improve material flow and information flow between departments.
• Create, revise, and maintain standardized work instructions and other documentation associated with manufacturing processes
• Collect essential data and build informational tools and reports using Excel for cost analysis, financial planning, and job evaluation
• Deploy world class manufacturing systems and operational business standards that integrate Lean foundational competencies across the plant.
Travel Requirements: You can expect less than 10% travel.
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Your typical work schedule will be 8-5pm M-F although you should expect to have flexibility to support project assignments including overtime.
Required Education and Experience:
You should have a BS degree in Engineering with 5+ years total of combined supply chain, operations, or engineering experience along with:
• Experience in management of complex, multi-functional teams, and initiatives across operations
• Demonstrated track record of delivering business results
• Excellent communication, social and influencing skills
• Should be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others
