Job Summary:
As an electro-optic engineer with Corning, you will work to develop multi-spectral and hyper-spectral sensors for both commercial and defense applications. It is critical these systems are designed to perform reliably in harsh environments. You will develop the initial system architecture followed by designing the support electronics, communication links, position sensing, motor control, camera communication, and imaging software.

Required Skills:
• We require a BS in Engineering (systems, optics, electrical, physics)
• We are looking for 5+ years in electro-optic related systems development and would highly prefer someone with defense systems experience.
• You will be responsible for the design of visible to IR sensors, spectrometers, laser systems and precision mechanism/motion control design
• Good hands-on product development skills and competence with product development tools in engineering (e.g., Code V, Zemax, OrCAD, SolidWorks, etc.), project management (MS/Project) and lab (e.g., interferometer)
• Are you proficient in testing and debugging electro-optics systems?
• Do your colleagues consider you to be positive, open, and engaging and an effective member of a dynamic team?
• Are you a self-starter, passionate about engineering and have a high level of technical curiosity?
• Are you dedicated, open to new ideas and recognized for your flexibility to change?
• Required to sign a non-compete agreement.
