The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Responsibilities:
• COC P&A needs team member to help on the SAP system to identify issues / find resolutions / test to ensure global implementation and assist with financial decisions. Interaction within COC Finance functional team will be Global.
• Support of the SAP Application for Finance & Controlling modules including issue resolution, testing and documentation.
• Periodic development of Finance end user training documents; as well at leading training sessions.
• Work with other team members in priority setting and issue resolution.
• Interaction with end users, EAS and IT while working on issue resolution.
• Meet all Finance Transformation Initiatives, Business Initiatives, and Projects.
• Participate on projects when need arises.
• Continuous work to improve operation of Finance systems – by use of enhancements, cases and listening to Finance users where there are pain points.
• Work with all levels of finance, procurement, and sales organizations to complete work
Travel Requirements:
• Travel maybe needed for project work and / or for Integration / Upgrades
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
• Basic working hour 40 hours/ week but with reasonable OT when system upgrade /testing is needed Qualifications
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in information system or Business/ Finance
Required Years and Area of Experience:
• 5 to 7 years of total working experience with 3 to 5 years of related field experience in SAP environment
Required Skills:
• SAP detailed application knowledge.
• Understanding of Business Processes related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Project System & Asset Management
• Effective use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus for Process Improvements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate across cultures.
• Ability to work in a “Fast Paced†environment with a strong commitment/dedication to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Rigorous & Detail Oriented
• Ability to work independently and to take ownership of assigned areas of responsibility
Desired Skills:
• Understanding of SAP system processing, transactions, and configurations across the Finance/Controlling Modules.
• Understanding of SAP cross-module integrations to FI/CO (touch-points with MM, SD, and PTP processes)
• Overall understanding of SAP Tables
• Understanding of Corning Financial Policy & Procedure, and strong GAAP knowledge.
• Effective communication, presentation and change management skills.
• Experience to understand end-to-end financials.
• Familiarity with Report Writer and/or Report Painter
• Global knowledge and work skills.
