Scope of Position:

Responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of all activities required for delivery of products to customers from materials acquisition through distribution. Primary areas include raw material purchase requests, internal capacity, production scheduling, supplier manufacturing capacity knowledge, Supply Chain theory, transportation cost optimization, and other cost reductions throughout the Supply Chain.
Day to Day Responsibilities:

Utilize knowledge of Supply Chain concepts/theories in all decision processes
Coordinate production schedule with customer service, suppliers, warehouse, Product Line Management (PLM), and manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met. Utilize SAP to develop purchasing plans and production schedule for assigned products while stabilizing operational efficiency
Accountability for all inventory (raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods) driven by strategic stocking decisions based on frequency, business strategy, lead time, variation, and volatility
Ensure material availability for common materials across multiple production lines
Utilize project management skills to solve issues and drive cost reductions throughout the Supply Chain
Coordinate long-term supply issues with Divisional Purchasing, Divisional Planning, and Product Line Management
Support new product implementation by coordinating material for final release to manufacturing operations. Requires working very closely with Divisional Planning and product team
Support product transfers between internal plants. Responsible for assuring schedule integrity and inventory management by working with Divisional Planning group.
Think critically and implement solutions to business problems
Contribute to the achievement of organizational goals through Continuous Improvement Suggestion Program using Supply Chain and lean concepts
Report on monthly Supply Chain objectives in alignment with Divisional strategy
Procure raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the operation
Support divisional procurement, transportation, supplier management, and logistics operations to ensure customers’ requirements are met

Travel Requirement: Limited US/Mexico travel

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 hrs. / week Mon – Fri

Education and experience:

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain major preferred)
Required Years of Experience: 0-3+ years of planning and/or buying experience

Required Skills:

Strong SAP knowledge
MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Critical thinking
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and tackle complex problems
Proven experience in working independently in a dynamic business and manufacturing environment
Capability of prioritizing and executing multiple tasks
Ability to change priorities and tasks when necessary
Fluent in English, both written and oral
Ability to work with diverse groups of people from other functions

Desired Skills:

Vendor negotiation skills.
Basic accounting principles experience and knowledge.
Six Sigma training and/or certification.
APICs Certification.
Any additional languages spoke would be an asset.
