Kelly Services is seeking Welders to work for a premier, reputable Valley, NE client! Full time permanent opportunities available on 2nd or 3rd shifts! Pay ranging from $17.90-18.90/h depending on shift.
Welders will be responsible for welding metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
Additional responsibilities:
o Fuse or weld metal structural components together by means of arc welding in the fabrication of steel electrical poles, substations, and other structures
o Perform welding operations requiring a limited amount of planning of work from blueprints or other written specifications and determining operation sequence
o Utilize all safety devices and wear all mandatory personal protective safety equipment
o Adjust welding equipment to its prescribed settings
o Maintain and operate production tooling and fixtures as well all welding equipment in a safe and secure manner
o Read and complete labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and blueprints
o Performs minor welding machine maintenance (i.e. tips, liners, gas cups)
o Uses labor reporting system, routing shop forms, and fills out move tags

Required Qualifications:
o One month of previous hands-on welding experience in a professional environment
o Ability to accurately read a measuring tape, read and follow written and verbal instructions
o Ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
o Capacity to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
o Ability to pass on onsite welding assessment
o Capability to work over 10 hours per week in overtime when required for business needs
o High School Diploma or GED equivalent
o Ability to read and interpret blue prints correctly without assistance
o Passion and integrity and the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
o High awareness for safety at all times
o Ability to identify and communicate maintenance or product problems to departmental supervision

Preferred:
o One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
o American Welding Society (AWS) welding certification from a recognized school
o Six months of previous hands-on welding experience in a professional environment

Opportunities on 2nd and 3rd shifts. You, as the employee will be able to choose your shift!
Shifts:
-2nd shift: 3pm-11pm
-3rd shifts: 11pm-7am
