Part-time Porter

Please Touch Museum is looking to welcome part time Porters to our team. This position offers a competitive rate of $12/hour!

We are seeking part-time Porters to be responsible for providing efficient, high-quality service to all Museum guests. Porters will monitor exhibit and gallery spaces to ensure the clean appearance and maintain high visitor satisfaction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms and all public areas;
- Perform scheduled maintenance checks, cleaning and detailing assignments;
- Respond to service calls in a timely and efficient manner;
- Maintain proper inventory levels at supply stations; remove debris, and trash from outside;
- Monitor waste levels of all receptacles and dispose of chemicals and cleaning materials;
- Ensure that museum rules, safety standards and sanitation requirements are followed;
- Ensure an understanding of emergency action plans; and assist in training of new staff.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old;
- Must have a high school diploma/GED;
- One year experience in cleaning related maintenance/janitorial work;
- Must be able to handle and remove bodily fluid;
- Able to follow oral and written instruction; and
- Exceptional previous work attendance and punctuality required.
