The Parts Sales Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the Team Leads. This person develops and implements sales programs which enhance Parts Direct sales through call center representatives and online webstore.
Responsibilities
1. Directs and assists in the daily performance of customer service and parts sales to ensure activities are done in an accurate, timely, and professional manner.
2. Manages and helps develop careers for Sales Associates and Team Leads within Parts Direct.
3. Reviews customer activity, revenue and margins to determine if changes are necessary in programs or operations.
4. Directs and pursues inside, outside and all ecommerce sales efforts for Parts Direct.
5. Interacts with credit and collections personnel to resolve customer disputes and when customer account is past due. Understands and communicates credit/collections guidelines.
6. Interacts with Purchasing and warehouse personnel to ensure timely inventory.
7. Fields complaints and questions regarding customer service issues.
8. Follows safe work practices and accident prevention procedures. Ensures that staff members are trained and understand rules and procedures relating to health and safety.
9. Prepares annual department budget to promote efficiency and economy.
STAFF/PUBLIC CONTACT – Requires establishment and maintenance of effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Requires coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities. Requires effective communication with customers, clients, and coworkers.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – Direct supervision of employees in the Parts department. Requires coordinating or leading others in work activities, work outcomes, and results. Responsible for performance evaluations of employees assigned to the Parts Department.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED – Reports to the Director of Sales. Works independently without close supervision.
DECISION-MAKING – Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization. Requires experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) – Four year college degree, or equivalent; five to seven years in sales management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE – Customer and Personal Service, Social Media, E-commerce salesSafety and Security, Sales and Marketing, Computers, and Computerized Inventory and Tracking Systems. Understands and communicates credit/collections guidelines.
REQUIRED SKILLS – Systems Evaluation, Operation Monitoring, Quality Control Analysis, Time Management, Inventory Control Procedures, and Service Orientation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS – Normal office environment. Occasional light lifting of office equipment, materials and boxes; frequent walking and standing; requires dexterity in use of fingers for the operation of computers and other office equipment. May involve moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds); and operation of motorized equipment and vehicles.
