Responsibilities:



The Cloud Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of the Client applications related to asset management, work management, and business process optimization. The architect will work closely with Client Product and Platform Managers to understand solution requirements and develop a global technology strategy and information technology roadmap utilizing a cloud first approach. The architect will collaborate with an international development team to oversee implementation of the solution design. Responsibilities also include maintaining existing solution architectures and evolving them, as necessary, to continuously strengthen the integration across the Westinghouse ecosystem and deliver customer value.



Work with Product Managers and the Platform Managers to define application and data architecture that meet business needs and align with the Client strategy. Evaluate industry best practices and emerging technology to integrate into the digital strategic roadmap to strengthen the ecosystem.

Lead a team of architects to develop high performing digital solutions tailored to multiple personas that meet service level agreement expectations by managing computing power, optimizing storage, and maintaining a high level of security.

Lead a team of architects with the design of data schemas, stored procedures and data pipelines for optimal ingestion, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources and small to large data sets.

Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and API integrations to support increases in data volume and complexity.

Collaborating with an international development team to communicate the envisioned architecture design and oversee implementation

Lead Integrating and maintaining existing solution architectures and evolving as necessary to strengthen the Westinghouse ecosystem and deliver customer value

Work with IT Architects to create and maintain standards and reference architectures leveraging industry best practices.

Collaborating with Client IT and Compliance to take a cloud first approach while adhering to IT policies and regulatory requirements



Qualifications:



Technical:



Experience designing and implementing application and data architecture roadmaps

Experience designing, integrating, and evolving complex infrastructure solutions including service-oriented architecture and microservices

Ability to work with IT to develop solutions within existing policies and standards, when necessary, collaborate to implement IT changes to enable the vison of the roadmap

Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering

Background working in a cross functional collaborative environment, assessing needs to achieve the desired end state, and structuring the roadmap to achieve success

Demonstrated experience in analytics and data warehousing

Experience with development in Azure - preferred



Certifications:



Azure Solutions Architect Expert - preferred

Education:



B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field - required

M.S. – preferred
