Description:



As an engineer in the IT Service Management (ITSM) group, you will be part of an agile team building the ITSM infrastructure, tools and integrations for critical bank functions and processes.

We transform and build out of the box capabilities, components, work flows, policies and configurations. Utilize API's that balance, support and create new digital services and products.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who can configure modules, expose and implement APIs, create workflows and patterns for both a web service provider and a web service consumer.

You will be part of every stage of development from concept, solution and deployment. As member of an agile squad, your role and responsibilities require participation in planning, reviews and retrospectives which drive products to delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Develop solutions on the ServiceNow platform, including the creation and/or customization of the core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Requests, Automated Workflows.

Facilitate and support the iterative rollout of new product features and enhancements

Administer the ITSM instance including the group and user maintenance, ACL, UI actions, catalog Items, etc.?

Advise with teams about product requirements, collaborate with Fifth Third Bank team members and customers to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required.

Drive high levelsof client satisfaction and put the customer at the center

Developbusiness solutions across the ITSM platform, which utilizes automation, integration capabilities by leveraging vendor business services.

Utilize experience in advanced troubleshooting (g.server logs, plugin logs, API logs etc.) for any occurrence of platform incidents or problems

Remain current on IT industry trends pertaining to your area of practice (e.g., Agile, DevOps, cognitive services; frameworks, open sourcecommunity projects)

Apply agile/leansoftware development practices for customizations to the platform and applications

Continuously manage application risks by secure coding practices, testing and escalation of issues



KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:



Experience administering a ServiceNow instance including the group and user maintenance, ACL, UI Actions, Catalog Items, Script Business Rules, Script Includes ?

Strong analytical and problem solvingskills is a must

Experience configuration and developing on ITSM platforms either On Premise and Cloud

Knowledge of JavaScript, Python, PHP, PowerShell orsimilar scripting languages

Practical experiences testing code using industry application lifecycle management (ALM) tools

Functional knowledge and practice with Standard Query Language (SQL)

Experience and practice developing Web Servicesand exposing vendor API's

Experienced understanding of web development concepts, writing best practices code, persistence layer technologies,infrastructure architecture (on premise including cloud based), debugging, testing and version control.

Knowledge and practical use of software development patterns

Experience and practical usage of Scrum, Kanban,and waterfall SDLC methodologies

Practical knowledge and implementation experience of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks(ITIL, COBIT, MOF or eTOM)



TECHNICAL SKILLS



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 8+ years of experience

Current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practice (e.g., Agile, DevOps, operating system updates, frameworks, open source community projects)

Must have led a team of 10-15 members.

Understanding of security best practices
