Herba Epimedii, also known as Xianling spleen, was listed as the intermediate product in Shennong materia medica classic. It has the functions of Tonifying Kidney Yang, strengthening muscles and bones, and dispelling wind and dampness. It is used for impotence and spermatorrhea, flaccid muscles and bones, rheumatic arthralgia, numbness and contracture caused by kidney yang deficiency.
