Job Summary:
**LOCAL METRO ATLANTA CANDIDATES ONLY**
Oversee a team of personnel focused on supporting existing Child Welfare operations by providing application fixes and stakeholder required Georgia SHINES programming enhancements.
Manage software enhancements through requirement analysis, design, programming, configuration management and quality assurance testing
Evaluate teamwork processes and apply needed changes to improve and streamline software development operations
Work with the Technical Architect to develop and design application solutions
Work with the Project Manager to create development work plans and schedules
Participate in the improvement of establishment of programming standards and procedures
Provide Level of Effort estimates for Statement of Work documents
Communicate technical plans to stakeholders
Maintain a productive working environment for development teams.
Perform analysis of the most complex requests breaking down articulated problems and issues into sub-components; thoroughly examining the costs, benefits and risks of various options prior to selecting an approach
Qualifications
• Ten or more years of experience with multiple technology platforms: JSP, J2EE/JEE, EJB, WebSphere, Weblogic, HTML, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC patterns, Unix/Linux
• Understanding and implementation experience of modern web/integration architectures (REST, Web Services, Messaging) HTML5, Ajax, modern JavaScript libraries, etc.
• Experience in system design, implementation and scalability for enterprise systems and web infrastructure – Web Services, SOAP, HTML/HTTP, APIs Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills
• Experience with the strengths and weaknesses of multiple security frameworks for both web and mobile applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills -- ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the technical team and business stakeholders excellent organizational and planning skills
• Proven technical and architectural leadership experience in the design and development of distributed object orientated solutions on multiple platforms
• Ability to quickly obtain a thorough understanding of client’s IT capabilities
• The organizational skills to foster collaboration with other application technical teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of directly-related supervisory/management experience OR Five years of directly-related supervisory/management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with multiple technology platforms: JSP, J2EE/JEE, EJB, WebSphere, Weblogic, HTML, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC patterns, Unix/Linux
