Description
Silicon slag si65 is an equal amount of external silicon slag produced in the production process of metal silicon products, also known as industrial silicon slag, metal silicon slag, and also divided into silicon slag for casting and silicon slag for steelmaking. The main chemical element of silicon slag is silicon, with a content of 45% to 70%. The rest contains trace amounts of C, S, P, Al, SiO2, Fe, Ca, etc. As a special product, silicon slag si65 (the equivalent amount of silicon) is much cheaper than metal silicon, but there are many industrial applications similar to metal silicon.
Application
1. Silicon slag si65 is used as a deoxidizer in steelmaking to reduce the oxygen content in the melt process. It can reduce costs and increase profits.
2. Silicon slag si65 is a good temperature-resistant material. Putting silicon slag in the process of steelmaking can increase the furnace temperature, increase the conversion rate, and accelerate the reaction speed of molten steel with elements. It has obvious advantages of slag collection and better deoxidation effect.
3. Silicon slag si65 can be used in steel mills and foundry industry instead of ferrosilicon. Because silicon slag contains a large amount of alkaline oxides, it can react with sulfur dioxide to form sulfate, and its slurry can be used for flue gas desulfurization.
4. In the process of re-smelting stainless steel with electric furnace, stainless steel manufacturers use silicon slag as a reducing agent to upgrade efficiency and output.
