2010-2011: Sleep my joy

In the world of World of Warcraft, there is such a tricky formation as the Emerald Dream - this is an ideal image of the game universe, a kind of parallel world. It is believed that the titans created the Emerald Dream to protect Azeroth. A tribe of green dragons lives in the Dream, led by the chief guardian, Ysera. With a certain degree of probability, it can be assumed that in general everything that exists in Azeroth is her dream. Ysera rarely opens her eyes, but she sees everything that happens - both in the ephemeral Emerald Dream and in the corresponding point of real Azeroth; and she can see everything and everywhere at the same time. Beings in a physical shell are forbidden to enter the Emerald Land, but anyone can get there in a dream. Only druids have the gift to be transported to a parallel world without falling asleep.

From the point of view of game mechanics, the Emerald Dream is simply an invaluable find. Before us is actually a ready-made new world that exists everywhere and nowhere. For him, you do not need to look for a physical place on the old map. Here, the laws of existence change according to standards that are completely incomprehensible to the player, and very strange and very beautiful creatures can be settled in the Emerald Dream, and the phase transition technology can be made not just an interesting feature, but the main element of the game. In the unreliable world of dreams, Blizzard will be able to change the game mechanics we are used to in any way. It is useless to guess how this will be done, but we think that they will not miss their chance to impress the players here.

However, no matter how ephemeral the Emerald Dream, the developers will have to come up with some kind of entry point. And here they already have a great experience - now we will tell you one interesting story again.

So, the Well of Eternity and Queen Azshara were swallowed up by the whirlpool, the Great Rift passed through the world, but some of the elves managed to escape. Day and night, they fled from the ocean pursuing them, which literally wet their heels, and finally they reached a place where the water element could no longer overtake them. This place was Mount Hyjal. Here, at its summit, Illidan Stormrage knocked over a vial of water he had scooped from the old Well of Eternity. Illidan wanted to make a new magic well, restore the elves to their former power of magic - and succeeded. Magic currents soared with renewed vigor. A second Well of Eternity has appeared in Azeroth.

Illidan's brother, Malfurion, clutched his head when he learned what his troubled kinsman had done. Malfurion believed that the well's magical energies were harmful to Azeroth. The green guardian dragons were also alarmed: in order to balance the magical influence of the Well, they planted the World Tree - Nordrassil - nearby. Ysera consecrated Nordrassil, and he linked Azeroth to the Emerald Dream.

The New Well, of course, again attracted the attention of Sargeras. It was on Mount Hyjal that the decisive battle took place with the right hand of the evil titan - the demon Archimonde. Using the power of the Tree, the elves destroyed the Well. Archimonde was slain, the Burning Legion was thrown back again. The tree was badly damaged, but still, although worse than before, serves as a guide to the Emerald Dream. The tree is readily used by druids and some especially stubborn mortals.

In the dry residue:

  • Development bar: 100

  • New Plane of Azeroth (Other Dimension): The Emerald Dream

  • New "old" location: Mount Hyjal

  • New Hero Class: Archdruid

  • Easy to play with wow boosting services

  • Massive use of phase transition technology

  • Completely redesigned engine

  • New raid bosses: dragon aspects; possibly an "altered" Malfurion Stormrage and one of Sargeras' followers
