Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with the client (internal or external) to define the project scope, schedule, deliverables, risks and expectations that are considered to deliver a successful project
• Manage team members and sub-contractor(s) to ensure project objectives are met.
• Manage the client expectations and ensure regular updates are effectively communicated throughout the duration of the project.
• Ensure the project is closed out when appropriate and all commercial aspects are completed.
• Provide back-up support to customers who inquire about quotes or need other information, etc.
• Working with finance manager to insure proper billing of contracts.
• Prepare, review, and receive supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
• Ability to prepare and present project proposals.
• Coordinate with the client on all changes in scope, questions, or clarifications throughout all phases of design and/or construction.
• Coordinate frequently with the Field Superintendent.
• Contract administration to clients and subcontractors, including but not limited to Contracts, RFIs, project change and cost management.
• Coordination of producing purchase orders and ensuring materials are delivered to job site on time.
• Prepare and understand shop drawings and submittals, while addressing necessary changes for approval.
• Ability to produce construction schedules and coordinate with all trades involved.
• Ability to read and understand Civil, Architectural and Mechanical drawings.
• Understand specifications for commercial construction.
• Prepare and submit competitive proposal/ accurate invoices.
• Advanced understanding of layout, design, fabrication, and installation of HVAC/R systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment.
• Balance time between the office and multiple job site(s) as needed, and attend meetings (kick-off, preconstruction, coordination, BIM, QC, safety, planning, commissioning, etc.) from project inception to completion.
• Planning, scheduling, and managing commercial HVAC projects of various sizes and scopes.
• Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects.
• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues or problems that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
