SENIOR COST ESTIMATOR - Communicate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Schedulers, cost leads and MOC: scope, unit quantities, budgets, historical pricing and estimates from Class 5 to Class 1 with documents supporting the estimate assumptions, exclusions, allowances and contingency percentage. Responsible for initiating and supporting internal groups such as Land Services, engineering and design services, surveying, construction management, and permits. Interpret blueprints, technical specifications, quoted pricing documents, engineering gas standards per county and city, permit language, and actuals to date and provide constructability feedback to the distribution project management team. Work closely with Project Managers to review project scope and identity deviations, comparisons and variances from planned scope and budgets. Work closely with project controls to gather historical information to provide estimates with precedence as a basis for estimates for major capital projects, mobile home parks, and new business projects. Perform postmortems of projects as they are completed to capture any variances from the plan or new risk items and facilitate lessons learned review. Facilitate Risk review to ensure all risks are identified and agreed upon by the project team, as well as add percentages based on probability to apply contingency as appropriate. Req. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Management or related. Req 4 years experience as Cost Estimator and must have experience in estimating and project management including budgeting, change management, construction and reporting. Salary 87,651.00/year.
