Senior Associate (full time) – Better World Group Advisors, 801 S. Grand Avenue, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90017.
Perform specialized research and offer expertise in the areas of urban planning, clean energy, and climate practices. Collect, analyze, and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data to develop customized solutions to address urban planning challenges for clients. Craft various deliverables such as memos, reports, slide decks, and other relevant materials, and present findings directly to clients and collaborators as necessary. Assist in planning and executing stakeholder engagement strategies. Ensure that project teams adhere to scopes, budgets, and schedules, while advancing towards proficiency in project management.
Assist in business development activities and prepare materials for responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Monitor urban policy developments at the local, state, and national levels.
Requires a master’s degree in urban planning, land use, environmental policy or related field. 12-month work experience as urban planner, associate or related. finance, accounting, or business administration. Proficient in conducting detailed research on planning issues and regulations, delivering comprehensive analyses on energy policy, environmental siting, and related topics. Skilled in facilitating meetings with regional government organizations, community groups, and State/federal agencies, effectively presenting technical information at workshops and hearings. Experience as a planning specialist, preparing and managing environmental analyses for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Proven ability to collaborate with internal teams on project proposals, providing expert advice, contributing to proposal writing, and maintaining clear communication. Competency in project management principles, responsible for developing environmental compliance and planning documents within budget and schedule constraints.
