Eden Memorial is a family owned independent funeral home exclusively serving the Jewish Community. Our roots began in the early 1990’s when area Rabbis urged us to serve Jewish families and include accommodations for Tahara and Shomer in the additions planned for our Fort Lee Chapel. Our chapel and facilities were approved by the area rabbinical council who years later urged us to use the name Eden symbolizing our spiritual home, and the longing to return to that which is deeply buried within those of the faith.
Eden has been a family run business offering an alternative to the many Jewish funeral homes in New Jersey and New York that were bought by corporate conglomerate funeral homes. In 2008 Barry Wien who had sold his funeral home to one such organization, joined his life-long friend Frank Patti at Eden Memorial. Together, with our Eden family, Arthur Musicant, Bruce Rosenbaum, Frank Patti, ii, Barry Wien and Frank Patti, Eden quickly became one of the most well known names in Jewish funeral service in the Metropolitan area.
