Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Roku, you will be responsible for analyzing large data sets to identify trends and patterns, developing predictive models to inform business decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions, designing and implementing A/B testing experiments to measure product effectiveness, developing and maintaining data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders, working closely with product managers to develop data-driven product roadmaps, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining large-scale data pipelines, working with data engineers to design and implement data architectures, and collaborating with other data scientists to develop and refine predictive models. To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, as well as 3-5 years of experience in a data science role. You will also need strong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI, and knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques. Industry knowledge of the streaming media industry is also preferred. In addition to technical skills, you will need strong soft skills, including excellent communication and collaboration skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a strong attention to detail. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
