Support the PM in managing designated active equity portfolios, performing systematic equity research (fundamental and quantitative), and research and enhance the investment product and portfolio management process involving the following: - Perform fundamental and quantitative stock and research analysis. - Portfolio attribution analysis to explain portfolio and market performance. - For stock selection, utilizing the firm’s Scoring Model, third party databases and applications to examine portfolio holdings and screen for new ideas. - Support the risk management & analysis process, research projects, conduct research on developing new investment models, utilize portfolio construction methodology and data management tools as well as deliver ongoing research analysis through back-testing investment strategies and portfolio simulations. - Participate in the ongoing firm wide discussion on development and enhancement of the firm’s investment products. Performs analyses on methodology/approach and makes recommendations on developing new products. - The position also involves client reporting, supporting the creation of presentation materials and collaborating closely with our client service team to support client communication efforts and keeping with the investment and compliance process requirements. - Support trading, operations and portfolio administration for all accounts and strategies. - At times, leads group discussions designed to identify and debate investment issues and potential research projects.
