Job Description
Age Group Swim Coach at Bravo Swimming LLC., Hallandale, FL. Responsible for coaching and athlete development, focusing on technique, endurance, and performance. Ensures safety, monitors progress, and maintains professionalism aligned with USA Swimming standards. Reqs. swim coach, swim instructor, swim trainer + CPR and First Aid Cert. (Red Cross or equivalent).
Full Description
DUTIES Coaching & Athlete Development: Plan, organize, and lead daily swim practices appropriate to the age group’s skill level and season goals. Teach and refine proper stroke technique, starts, turns, and finishes. Develop swimmers’ endurance, speed, and overall fitness in alignment with long-term athlete development. Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive training environment that motivates athletes to achieve personal bests. Prepare swimmers for competition by teaching race strategies, mental preparation, and meeting procedures. Swim Meet Responsibilities: Attend assigned swim meets and supervise athletes during warm-ups, races, and cooldowns. Provide feedback and race analysis to swimmers after events. Assist with meet entries, relays, and line-ups in collaboration with the head coach. Ensure swimmers are on time and ready for their events. Team Culture & Communication: Promote team values of respect, effort, and sportsmanship. Communicate regularly with swimmers and parents regarding goals, progress, and expectations. Work collaboratively with the head coach and coaching staff to maintain a consistent training philosophy. Serve as a role model both in and out of the pool. Safety & Administration: Maintain a safe and organized practice environment, following all pools and USA. Swimming safety regulations. Monitor swimmer attendance, training logs, and progress. Report issues, injuries, or concerns promptly to the head coach or program director. Participate in staff meetings, clinics, and continuing education opportunities. Professionalism: Stay current with USA Swimming rules, techniques, and best practices. Uphold high ethical standards in coaching and interactions with athletes and families. Support the overall mission and growth of the swimming team.
