Job Description

Envision Education seeks passionate Teachers for all subjects in the San Francisco Bay Area to inspire and empower underserved students toward college and career success. Join our mission-driven team to deliver transformative education and foster lifelong learners.

Full Description

Envision Education is seeking dynamic Teachers across all subjects to join our innovative schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. This pivotal role involves shaping the futures of underserved students by delivering high-quality instruction that prepares them for college, career, and life success. As a teacher at Envision, you will contribute significantly to our mission of transforming education, creating equitable opportunities, and building resilient communities through personalized, rigorous learning experiences that ignite student potential. In your daily work, you will design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learners in subjects like math, science, English, history, and electives, adapting content to meet individual needs and learning styles. Weekly, you'll assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, track metrics such as growth scores and mastery rates, and collaborate with grade-level teams to refine curriculum and interventions. Monthly responsibilities include parent-teacher conferences, professional learning community meetings, and data analysis to adjust teaching strategies for improved outcomes. You will foster a positive classroom culture, manage student behavior with restorative practices, lead small group instruction or enrichment projects, and partner with counselors, administrators, and community stakeholders to support holistic student development. Leadership opportunities arise in mentoring new teachers and contributing to school-wide initiatives. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a valid California teaching credential required; multiple-subject or single-subject credentials preferred. At least two years of teaching experience in urban or diverse settings is essential, along with proficiency in standards-based curriculum design and differentiated instruction. Familiarity with Common Core State Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and educational technologies like Google Classroom, Canvas, or data tracking tools is crucial. Strong knowledge of equity-focused pedagogy and experience supporting English learners or students with special needs are highly valued. Successful teachers bring expertise in classroom management software and adaptive learning platforms, paired with exceptional communication skills to engage students, families, and colleagues. Key soft skills include cultural responsiveness, adaptability, empathy, and a growth mindset, enabling you to build inclusive environments and inspire motivation. You excel in collaborative problem-solving, creative lesson planning, and data-driven decision-making, with a passion for educational equity and student empowerment. Envision Education operates a network of charter high schools committed to college readiness for underserved youth, guided by values of excellence, equity, and empowerment. Our collaborative team environment features supportive leadership, professional growth communities, and a culture of innovation and joy, where teachers thrive in diverse, mission-aligned schools across the Bay Area. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans including 403(b) matching, generous paid time off, and professional development stipends. Additional perks include flexible scheduling options, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, and performance bonuses. Advance your career through leadership tracks like department head or instructional coach roles, ongoing training, and partnerships with universities.
