Full Description

At Scribe, a San Francisco-based innovator in business documentation solutions, the Accounting Manager holds a pivotal role in steering financial health amid rapid scaling. This position ensures robust fiscal frameworks support our mission to streamline enterprise knowledge management. Day-to-day, you will direct month-end closes, scrutinizing ledger entries for accuracy and reconciling complex intercompany transactions. Spearhead annual audits with external firms, preparing detailed schedules and responding to inquiries on revenue recognition under ASC 606. Oversee accounts payable and receivable cycles, optimizing cash flow through vendor negotiations and credit analysis. Collaborate with department heads on budget variance reports, delivering actionable insights via Tableau dashboards. Launch process enhancements, like automated invoice workflows using QuickBooks Enterprise, to cut reconciliation time by 30%. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with 7+ years in progressive roles, including 3 years managing teams. Proficiency in GAAP, ERP systems like NetSuite, and advanced Excel is essential; CPA certification preferred. Excel with analytical rigor, ERP mastery, and GAAP fluency. Demonstrate leadership poise and meticulous attention to detail. Scribe fosters a collaborative culture in our vibrant SoMa office, blending focused execution with creative problem-solving. Market-rate compensation includes comprehensive health coverage, unlimited PTO, and 401(k) matching.
