Join WENCOR as our Regional Sales Manager for Government and Military, a pivotal remote position driving strategic sales in the defense sector. This role is crucial for expanding our footprint in high-stakes government contracts, directly impacting company revenue and strengthening partnerships with military and federal agencies. In this role, you will lead the full sales cycle for government and military clients, identifying opportunities through market analysis and RFPs. Daily tasks include prospecting via calls and emails, nurturing leads with tailored proposals, and negotiating complex contracts worth millions. Weekly, collaborate with engineering and product teams to customize solutions, conduct demos, and prepare bids. Monthly, deliver sales forecasts, track KPIs like win rates and pipeline value, and report to senior leadership. Manage a territory pipeline, attend industry expos, build relationships with procurement officers, and mentor junior reps to hit quarterly targets exceeding $5M in new business. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Aerospace Engineering, with 7+ years of direct sales experience in government and military sectors, including DoD contract wins. Proven track record with FAR/DFARS compliance, SAM registrations, and tools like Salesforce CRM and GovWin IQ is essential. Deep knowledge of aerospace supply chain, CMMC requirements, and defense procurement processes is required. Certifications such as CPCM or CFCM preferred, along with U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility. Success demands exceptional communication and negotiation prowess to influence high-level stakeholders, alongside strategic thinking for territory planning. Technical acumen in aerospace products, CRM proficiency, and data-driven selling are key. You excel in relationship-building, resilience under pressure, and leadership to inspire sales teams, all while adapting to regulatory complexities in defense sales.
