Job Description
Crash Champions seeks a Database Administrator to safeguard and optimize data systems fueling our nationwide collision repair network. You'll ensure seamless data flow for operations and analytics, driving business efficiency. Join a dynamic team shaping the future of auto repair excellence.
Full Description
At Crash Champions, the nation's fastest-growing collision repair provider, data integrity powers every repair estimate, inventory decision, and customer interaction. The Database Administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining robust data infrastructures that support over 600 locations across the US, enabling real-time insights and operational agility in a high-volume industry.
Day-to-day responsibilities center on managing SQL Server and Oracle databases with precision. This includes executing regular performance tuning to handle peak transaction loads from shop scheduling systems, implementing backup and recovery protocols tailored to automotive data volumes, and monitoring database health using tools like SolarWinds and Redgate. You'll collaborate with IT developers to design schema optimizations for repair workflow applications, troubleshoot query bottlenecks during month-end reporting, and enforce security measures compliant with PCI standards for customer payment data. Expect to lead migration projects to cloud-based solutions like Azure SQL, ensuring minimal downtime across distributed sites.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on database administration experience in fast-paced business environments. Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, index optimization, and ETL processes using SSIS is essential. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification is highly valued, alongside familiarity with high-availability clustering and disaster recovery planning.
Technical expertise extends to advanced query optimization, data modeling for relational databases, and integration with BI tools like Power BI for generating repair trend analytics. Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical stakeholders, such as regional managers, are crucial. Proven problem-solving under pressure distinguishes top performers in this role.
Crash Champions fosters a collaborative, results-driven culture where innovation thrives amid a supportive team of IT professionals. Work in a modern office setting with flexible hours, accessing continuous training and career advancement paths in enterprise technology.
We offer competitive compensation aligned with market rates, comprehensive health insurance, generous PTO, and 401(k) matching to support your professional growth.
