The role demands precision in handling reservations through Opera PMS, verifying guest identities with swift ID scans, and coordinating room allocations based on occupancy forecasts. Agents field inquiries on local marinas, yacht charters, and nearby art walks, while processing payments via secure POS systems and resolving billing discrepancies on the spot. Collaboration with housekeeping ensures timely room readiness, and nightly audits maintain ledger accuracy amid peak-season rushes.
A high school diploma or equivalent suffices, paired with at least one year in upscale hotel front desks or concierge roles. Proficiency in multilingual greetings—Spanish and Italian preferred—and familiarity with Hilton Honors or similar loyalty platforms prove essential. Basic CPR certification enhances safety protocols for waterfront emergencies.
