Job Description

Little Caesars Pizza seeks a Human Resources Generalist in Detroit, MI to support employee relations, recruitment, and compliance. Join our team to drive HR initiatives that enhance our workforce and company culture.

Full Description

At Little Caesars Pizza, the Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in fostering a thriving workplace for our iconic pizza chain. This position is essential for supporting our rapid growth, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and enhancing employee engagement across our operations in Detroit and beyond. By managing key HR functions, you'll directly impact our ability to deliver hot and ready pizzas while building a strong, motivated team that upholds our commitment to value and quality. The day-to-day responsibilities of the HR Generalist are diverse and hands-on, keeping you at the heart of our operations. You'll recruit and onboard new talent for restaurant and corporate roles, conducting interviews, background checks, and orientation sessions weekly to fill positions quickly in our fast-paced environment. Employee relations form a core part of your role, where you'll handle inquiries, mediate conflicts, and conduct investigations into workplace issues on a regular basis, ensuring fair resolutions that maintain team morale. You'll administer benefits programs, process payroll for hundreds of employees monthly, and track key metrics like turnover rates and engagement scores to report to leadership. Compliance tasks include updating employee handbooks, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations such as FMLA and ADA, and coordinating annual training on safety and harassment prevention. Collaborating with department heads, restaurant managers, and executives, you'll develop retention strategies, lead performance review cycles quarterly, and support diversity initiatives through targeted hiring projects. Expect to manage HRIS systems for data accuracy and generate reports that inform strategic decisions. To succeed in this role, candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail or food service. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly desired, demonstrating expertise in employment law and best practices. Proficiency in HR software like Workday, ADP, or UKG is required, as is strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and analytics. Familiarity with Michigan labor laws and multi-state compliance is a plus, ensuring you can navigate our regional operations effectively. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that drive HR excellence. Technically, you'll excel in data analysis using Excel and HRIS platforms, with the ability to automate processes for efficiency. Soft skills are paramount: exceptional communication for presenting to executives and coaching employees, empathy in handling sensitive relations, and organizational prowess to juggle multiple priorities. Problem-solving and adaptability shine in our dynamic pizza industry, where quick thinking supports high-volume staffing needs. A collaborative spirit fosters strong partnerships across departments. Little Caesars Pizza, headquartered in Detroit, is America's largest carry-out pizza chain, founded on the mission to provide affordable, hot-and-ready pizzas since 1959. Our values of integrity, teamwork, and customer focus define our culture, creating a fun, energetic environment where innovation meets tradition. With a supportive team structure including collaborative HR, operations, and marketing groups, we emphasize work-life balance in a vibrant, pizza-loving atmosphere that celebrates achievements and community involvement. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off starting at 15 days annually, and employee discounts on pizza. Additional perks feature flexible scheduling, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs to support your professional and personal growth. Advance your HR career with clear paths to Senior Generalist or HR Manager roles, backed by ongoing training, mentorship, and leadership development programs.
