Job Description

KIKO MILANO seeks a Construction & Facilities Director for North America to oversee construction projects and facility management in New York. Drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, and support the company's expansion in the beauty retail sector.

Full Description

KIKO MILANO, a leading Italian beauty brand renowned for its vibrant cosmetics and innovative retail experiences, is seeking a dynamic Construction & Facilities Director for North America based in New York. This pivotal leadership role will spearhead the planning, execution, and maintenance of construction projects and facilities across the region, directly contributing to the company's ambitious growth strategy. By ensuring world-class infrastructure, you will enable seamless store expansions, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience that defines KIKO's global success. In this hands-on leadership position, you will oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from site selection and design collaboration with architects to contractor management and final inspections. Daily tasks include monitoring ongoing builds for retail stores and distribution centers, conducting site visits, and resolving issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Weekly, you'll review progress reports, coordinate with regional teams on maintenance schedules, and analyze cost metrics to optimize resource allocation. Monthly responsibilities encompass budgeting for facilities upkeep, ensuring regulatory compliance through audits, and leading cross-functional meetings with operations, procurement, and executive stakeholders to align on expansion goals. You will manage a team of facilities coordinators, delivering key performance indicators such as 95% on-time project completion and reduced downtime through proactive maintenance programs. Expect to spearhead initiatives like sustainable building retrofits and emergency response planning, collaborating closely with corporate HQ in Italy for strategic alignment. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's preferred, and possesses 10+ years of progressive experience in construction and facilities leadership within retail or consumer goods sectors. Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or OSHA safety credentials are essential, alongside proven expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software like Procore or Primavera. Deep knowledge of North American building codes, union labor regulations, and sustainable construction practices is required, with a track record of managing multi-million-dollar portfolios across multiple states. Success demands strong technical proficiency in blueprint analysis, cost estimation tools, and BIM technologies, paired with exceptional leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. You must excel in communicating complex project updates to non-technical stakeholders, fostering team motivation, and driving innovation in facilities operations. Industry acumen in retail real estate development, vendor management, and risk mitigation will set you apart, ensuring adaptability in a fast-paced, trend-driven beauty market. KIKO MILANO thrives on creativity, inclusivity, and Italian flair, with a mission to make high-quality beauty accessible worldwide. Our North American team, part of a global network of over 1,000 stores, operates in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values bold ideas and work-life balance. Join a culture that celebrates diversity, innovation, and employee growth in stylish New York offices buzzing with energy from our passionate retail and design professionals. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous PTO starting at 20 days annually. Enjoy perks like flexible hybrid scheduling, wellness stipends, employee discounts on KIKO products, and performance-based bonuses up to 20% of base salary. Additional benefits include professional development budgets and travel opportunities for site oversight.
