Job Overview The Program Administrator plays a pivotal role at the Public Health Institute (PHI), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to advancing public health through research, policy, and community programs. Reporting to the Program Director, this position involves coordinating multifaceted public health initiatives, managing budgets, and fostering partnerships to address critical health challenges like disease prevention, health equity, and emergency response. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement program strategies aligned with PHI's goals, including planning, execution, and evaluation of public health projects. Manage day-to-day operations, such as staffing schedules, resource allocation, and progress tracking using tools like project management software. Oversee grant-funded initiatives by preparing reports, ensuring compliance with federal regulations (e.g., CDC, NIH guidelines), and monitoring budgets to stay within financial constraints. Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and healthcare providers, to build coalitions and amplify program impact. Conduct data analysis to measure program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and prepare presentations for leadership and funders. Supervise junior staff and volunteers, providing mentorship to enhance team performance and program delivery. Stay abreast of public health trends, policies, and best practices to innovate and adapt programs accordingly. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, business administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, preferably in non-profit or public health sectors. Proven track record of managing grants and budgets exceeding $500,000 annually. Strong understanding of public health principles, epidemiology, and regulatory frameworks. Skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and program management tools like Asana or Salesforce. Analytical mindset with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Excel. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and negotiate partnerships. Knowledge of grant writing, compliance, and evaluation methodologies. Adaptability in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
