The State of Delaware recruits a Telecommunications/Network Technician IV to oversee advanced network infrastructure across state facilities.
This position demands daily monitoring of VoIP systems, troubleshooting high-speed fiber links, and configuring Cisco routers for optimal performance. The technician leads upgrades to statewide microwave backhaul networks, ensuring zero downtime during peak usage. Expect hands-on work with SONET equipment and protocol analysis using Wireshark.
Candidates need an Associate's degree in telecommunications or related field, plus six years of progressive experience in network operations. Proficiency in OSPF routing, MPLS, and optical transport systems is essential. CompTIA Network+ certification required.
Excel in packet analysis and fault isolation.
