Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive patient safety programs, conducting regular risk assessments and root cause analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Lead quality improvement projects using data-driven methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, tracking key performance indicators such as hospital-acquired infection rates, readmission rates, and patient satisfaction scores. Collaborate daily with clinical teams, including physicians, nurses, and administrators, to integrate safety protocols into workflows. Weekly, facilitate multidisciplinary committees to review incidents and devise preventive measures. Monthly, prepare executive reports on metrics and compliance, presenting findings to senior leadership and regulatory bodies. Manage a team of quality specialists, providing mentorship and performance evaluations to ensure high standards. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in patient safety and quality management, including 5 years in a leadership capacity within a hospital setting. Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar is required, along with deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as CMS, TJC, and OSHA standards. Proficiency in electronic health record systems like Epic, data analytics tools including Tableau, and quality management software is essential. Proven expertise in healthcare domains like infection prevention, medication safety, and fall prevention programs is critical. Excel in strategic leadership, with exceptional communication skills to influence cross-functional teams and present complex data to executives. Demonstrate strong analytical abilities to interpret trends and drive evidence-based decisions, coupled with a passion for patient-centered care.
