Full Description

At Invio Automation, our Driver - General Labor role is pivotal in keeping our cutting-edge automation systems running seamlessly. You'll be the backbone of our logistics chain, transporting essential materials and equipment across Macomb, MI, and ensuring timely deliveries that fuel our innovative projects. This position offers a chance to contribute directly to a company revolutionizing industrial automation, where your reliability directly impacts our ability to meet client deadlines and maintain operational excellence. Your day-to-day will revolve around safe and efficient vehicle operation, starting with daily pre-trip inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. You'll transport raw materials, components, and finished automation products between our facility, suppliers, and client sites, logging mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times meticulously. Weekly, expect to assist in loading and unloading heavy machinery using forklifts or pallet jacks, collaborating with warehouse teams to organize inventory and prepare shipments. Monthly responsibilities include participating in route optimization meetings with logistics coordinators to reduce costs and improve efficiency, tracking key metrics like on-time delivery rates above 98%. You'll also support general labor tasks such as minor vehicle maintenance, cleaning work areas, and helping production teams with assembly line support during peak periods, fostering cross-departmental teamwork without direct supervisory duties. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of proven driving experience in commercial or industrial settings. A valid Michigan Class C driver's license is required, along with a clean driving record and DOT medical certification. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, basic warehouse management software, and safe handling of automation components is essential. Industry knowledge in manufacturing or logistics, particularly automation sectors, is highly valued, though we'll train motivated individuals without prior certifications. Success demands strong technical proficiency in vehicle operation, load securing techniques, and inventory tracking tools like barcode scanners. Equally important are soft skills such as excellent time management to handle tight schedules, physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and clear communication for coordinating with dispatchers and teams. Problem-solving under pressure, attention to detail in documentation, and a safety-first mindset round out the competencies that thrive in our dynamic environment. Invio Automation is a leader in industrial automation solutions, dedicated to innovating smarter manufacturing processes with a mission to empower businesses through technology. Our Macomb, MI headquarters fosters a collaborative culture with a flat team structure, where drivers work alongside engineers and technicians in a fast-paced yet supportive atmosphere. We pride ourselves on work-life balance, modern facilities, and a commitment to employee growth in a unique blend of hands-on labor and tech-driven progress. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive health insurance, dental and vision plans, and a robust 401(k) with company matching. Enjoy generous PTO starting at 15 days annually, paid holidays, and performance-based bonuses. Additional perks include flexible scheduling options, tool allowances, and access to ongoing training programs to enhance your skills. Advance your career with clear paths to lead driver roles, logistics coordination, or even automation technician positions through our professional development initiatives. We provide certifications, workshops, and mentorship. To apply, submit your resume via our careers page or contact our HR team today to start your journey with Invio Automation.
