Job Overview: Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) seeks a dedicated Policy Analyst to join our dynamic advocacy team in New York, NY. In this critical role, you will conduct in-depth research on reproductive health policies, monitor legislative developments, and craft strategies to protect and expand access to sexual and reproductive health services. As a key contributor to our national policy efforts, you will collaborate with government officials, coalition partners, and internal stakeholders to influence public policy that aligns with PPFA's mission of providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to all. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive policy research and analysis on federal and state-level issues related to reproductive rights, contraception, abortion access, and sexual health education. Track and report on legislative proposals, regulatory changes, and judicial decisions impacting reproductive healthcare. Develop policy briefs, position papers, fact sheets, and testimony to support advocacy campaigns. Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, allies, and stakeholders to advance PPFA's policy priorities. Assist in preparing for congressional hearings, budget negotiations, and grassroots mobilization efforts. Provide data-driven insights to inform organizational strategy and public messaging. Represent PPFA at meetings, coalitions, and conferences as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in public policy, political science, public health, law, or a related field; advanced degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or government affairs, ideally in reproductive health or non-profit sectors. Strong understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes. Proven track record of producing high-quality policy documents and research. Skills: Exceptional analytical and research skills with proficiency in data interpretation and synthesis. Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, policy databases, and research tools like LexisNexis or CQ Roll Call. Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities. Passion for social justice, equity, and reproductive rights. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
