Job Overview: Hyatt is seeking a dedicated Guest Service Agent for the overnight shift at our premier property in New York, NY. As the face of Hyatt during the night, you'll ensure smooth operations, guest satisfaction, and property security from dusk till dawn.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist overnight guests with check-ins, check-outs, and room reservations using Hyatt's reservation system. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly, providing information on hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation. Process payments, issue folios, and manage billing disputes accurately. Monitor security cameras, patrol premises if needed, and coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams for any issues. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, update guest records in the PMS system, and prepare daily reports for the day shift. Respond to emergencies calmly, following Hyatt protocols, and upsell services like late check-outs or spa packages to enhance guest experiences.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk operations preferred. Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US. Availability for overnight shifts (typically 11 PM to 7 AM) including weekends and holidays is essential. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software is a plus.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail for handling reservations and payments.
