Sonrava Health seeks a Managing Doctor in Cathedral City, CA, to oversee clinical operations, lead dental care teams, and ensure exceptional patient outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment. Join us to drive quality care and professional growth.

Full Description

As the Managing Doctor at Sonrava Health in Cathedral City, CA, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dental practice, ensuring high standards of patient care, and driving operational excellence. This position is crucial for advancing our mission to deliver accessible, top-tier oral healthcare, directly impacting patient satisfaction, team performance, and the overall success of our growing organization. Your leadership will shape clinical protocols and foster a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting. In your daily responsibilities, you will oversee clinical operations by supervising dental hygienists, assistants, and support staff to maintain compliance with state regulations and company standards. You will conduct patient examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans, performing procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals as needed. Weekly, you will review patient charts, monitor treatment outcomes, and analyze key metrics like case acceptance rates and procedure completion times to optimize efficiency. Monthly, you will lead team meetings to discuss performance goals, conduct staff training on best practices, and collaborate with regional managers on budgeting and inventory management for dental supplies. You will also handle patient consultations, address complaints, and ensure seamless coordination with administrative teams for scheduling and billing. Additionally, mentor junior clinicians, implement quality assurance audits, and contribute to practice growth initiatives, such as community outreach programs, all while upholding infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines. Candidates must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution, along with an active, unrestricted California dental license. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in general dentistry is required, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Proficiency in digital radiography, electronic health records (EHR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, and laser dentistry tools is essential. Board certification from the American Dental Association or equivalent is highly preferred, complemented by CPR/BLS certification and familiarity with HIPAA compliance. Strong knowledge of periodontal disease management, cosmetic dentistry, and pediatric oral care is necessary to meet diverse patient needs in our community-focused practice. Success in this role demands exceptional clinical expertise paired with robust leadership abilities to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams effectively. You should excel in clear communication, both verbal and written, to educate patients and liaise with stakeholders, while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity in a diverse patient base. Problem-solving skills are vital for handling complex cases and operational challenges, alongside adaptability to evolving dental technologies and regulations. Strategic thinking will help in achieving practice KPIs, such as 95% patient retention rates, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Sonrava Health is a leading dental service organization committed to transforming smiles and lives through innovative, compassionate care across California. Our mission emphasizes accessibility, excellence, and community well-being, supported by a values-driven culture of integrity, teamwork, and innovation. With a supportive team structure featuring collaborative clinicians and administrative experts, we cultivate a positive work environment that prioritizes work-life balance and professional fulfillment in modern, well-equipped facilities. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, commensurate with experience, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and generous paid time off. Additional perks encompass continuing education reimbursement, malpractice coverage, flexible scheduling options, and performance-based bonuses to reward your contributions to our success. Embrace abundant growth opportunities through mentorship programs, leadership development tracks, and pathways to regional director roles. We invest in your professional advancement with ongoing training and conference attendance.
