Job Description
Innoventrics seeks a dynamic General Manager to lead aerospace manufacturing operations in Southbury, CT. Drive production excellence, team leadership, and strategic growth in a cutting-edge industry.
Full Description
Lead Innoventrics' aerospace manufacturing division as General Manager, a pivotal role that shapes operational success and propels company innovation in high-precision components for aviation and defense. Your strategic vision will directly impact revenue growth, product quality, and market leadership, ensuring we exceed customer expectations in a competitive sector.
Oversee daily production workflows, coordinating with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to meet aggressive delivery timelines. Develop and monitor key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rates above 98%, defect reduction to under 1%, and cost savings through lean manufacturing initiatives. Conduct weekly team meetings to align on priorities, mentor supervisors on process improvements, and spearhead monthly capital project reviews for equipment upgrades. Collaborate with sales and R&D departments to launch new product lines, manage vendor relationships for raw materials like titanium alloys, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations through rigorous audits. Drive continuous improvement programs, including Six Sigma projects that deliver measurable ROI, while fostering a safety-first culture with zero-incident goals.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, with an MBA preferred; a Master's will set you apart. Bring 10+ years of progressive leadership in aerospace manufacturing, including 5+ years in senior management overseeing multi-shift operations. Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Epicor, CAD software such as SolidWorks, and quality tools including AS9100 standards is essential. Deep knowledge of aerospace materials, CNC machining, and composite fabrication processes is required, along with certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or PMP. Proven track record in scaling production from prototype to high-volume is non-negotiable.
Excel in strategic leadership with exceptional communication skills to inspire cross-functional teams and negotiate with suppliers. Demonstrate strong problem-solving under pressure, financial acumen for P&L management, and adaptability to fast-paced technological changes. Industry-specific competencies include expertise in regulatory compliance, supply chain optimization, and innovation in additive manufacturing techniques.

We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses and profit-sharing.
