Job Description

Join the Los Angeles Dodgers as a Production & Storytelling Associate, crafting compelling narratives and high-quality video content to engage millions of fans. Collaborate with creative teams to produce stories that capture the excitement of Dodger baseball and strengthen fan connections.

Full Description

The Production & Storytelling Associate role at the Los Angeles Dodgers is a dynamic opportunity to shape the narrative of one of baseball's most iconic franchises. This position plays a pivotal role in creating engaging multimedia content that brings the thrill of Dodger Stadium to life, fostering deeper connections with a global fanbase and enhancing the team's brand presence across digital platforms. By blending creativity with production expertise, you'll contribute to content that drives fan loyalty, boosts social media engagement, and supports marketing initiatives, ultimately impacting the organization's reputation and revenue streams. In this role, you'll dive into daily content production tasks, such as scripting short-form videos, editing highlight reels from games, and producing behind-the-scenes stories featuring players and staff. Weekly, expect to collaborate with the marketing, social media, and broadcast teams to brainstorm storytelling ideas aligned with game schedules, promotions, and special events like Opening Day or playoffs. You'll manage end-to-end production workflows, from concept development and storyboarding to filming on location at Dodger Stadium and post-production using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Monthly deliverables include performance reports on video views, engagement rates, and audience growth metrics, ensuring content meets KPIs such as 10% monthly increase in social interactions. Additional responsibilities involve interviewing athletes for feature stories, curating archival footage for historical retrospectives, and supporting live event coverage with real-time graphics and narratives. You'll also coordinate with external vendors for advanced shoots and lead small project teams during peak seasons, overseeing timelines and quality control to deliver polished assets on deadline. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Film Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, with at least 2-4 years of hands-on experience in video production and digital storytelling, preferably in sports media or entertainment. Proficiency in industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), Final Cut Pro, and digital asset management systems is essential. Familiarity with sports industry dynamics, such as MLB broadcast standards and fan engagement strategies, is required. Strong portfolio showcasing narrative-driven video content is mandatory, along with basic knowledge of motion graphics and audio editing. No specific certifications are needed, but experience with live streaming platforms like YouTube Live or Twitch is a plus. Success in this role demands a versatile skill set blending technical prowess with creative flair. Technically, you'll excel in video editing, color grading, and multi-camera production setups. Soft skills like exceptional storytelling ability, keen attention to detail, and adaptability to fast-paced environments are crucial. Strong communication facilitates seamless collaboration across departments, while time management ensures deadlines are met during high-pressure game seasons. Passion for baseball and understanding fan psychology will help craft resonant content that captivates diverse audiences. The Los Angeles Dodgers, a cornerstone of MLB since 1958, embody a legacy of excellence, community impact, and innovation in sports entertainment. Our mission is to win championships while inspiring fans through authentic storytelling and world-class experiences. The content team operates within a collaborative, creative environment at Dodger Stadium, featuring state-of-the-art production facilities and a diverse group of media professionals. Our culture celebrates bold ideas, work-life balance, and a winning mindset, making it a vibrant place for storytellers to thrive amid the energy of Los Angeles sports. We offer competitive compensation with salary not specified in the posting, commensurate with experience, alongside comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, and paid parental leave. Enjoy generous PTO with 20+ vacation days, flexible hybrid scheduling, and perks like tickets to Dodgers games, gym memberships, and team store discounts. Performance-based bonuses and opportunities for stock options in Dodgers holdings enhance total rewards, supporting your professional and personal growth. Advancement paths include progression to Senior Producer or Content Director roles, with mentorship programs and tuition reimbursement for advanced certifications. Professional development features workshops on emerging media trends and cross-training in analytics.
