Job Description

Toyota North America seeks a Full Stack Developer for End User Compute in Plano, TX. Develop and maintain web applications to enhance user computing experiences across our innovative platforms.

Full Description

Join Toyota North America as a Full Stack Developer specializing in End User Compute, a pivotal role that drives the digital transformation of our employee and customer-facing computing environments. You will contribute to building scalable, high-performance applications that support Toyota's mission to lead in mobility innovation, directly impacting operational efficiency and user satisfaction across North American operations. This position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that redefine end-user experiences in a global automotive leader. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy full stack web applications using modern frameworks and technologies tailored to end user compute solutions. Daily tasks include coding front-end interfaces with React or Angular and back-end services with Node.js or Java, ensuring seamless integration with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Weekly, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and product managers to review code, conduct testing, and deploy updates via CI/CD pipelines. Monthly deliverables encompass performance optimizations, feature enhancements for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and reporting on key metrics such as application uptime (target 99.9%) and user adoption rates. You will also lead small projects, mentor junior developers, and engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for new end-user tools like remote access portals and device management systems. Participation in agile sprints and quarterly planning ensures alignment with Toyota's IT roadmap. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of progressive experience in full stack development. Proficiency is required in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with end user compute technologies such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft Intune is essential, alongside familiarity with automotive IT systems. AWS or Azure certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate) and Agile/Scrum knowledge are highly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environments are non-negotiable. Technical expertise should include advanced proficiency in front-end frameworks like React.js or Vue.js, back-end with Express.js or Spring Boot, and DevOps practices using Jenkins or GitHub Actions. Soft skills such as excellent communication for stakeholder interactions, adaptability in dynamic projects, and a collaborative mindset for team success are crucial. Domain knowledge in end user computing, cybersecurity best practices, and automotive industry standards will set you apart, enabling innovative solutions that enhance productivity and security.
