Job Description
SupplyCore seeks a Military Account Manager - Air Force in Washington, DC to oversee key Air Force contracts, drive sales growth, and ensure exceptional supply chain support for mission-critical needs. Play a pivotal role in strengthening defense partnerships.
Full Description
Join SupplyCore as a Military Account Manager focused on the Air Force, a critical role that drives strategic partnerships and ensures seamless supply chain solutions for U.S. military operations. This position is pivotal in supporting national defense missions by managing high-stakes accounts, fostering long-term relationships, and delivering value that directly impacts operational readiness and mission success. Your expertise will contribute to SupplyCore's reputation as a trusted provider in the government contracting space, enhancing company growth and client satisfaction in the dynamic defense sector.
As the primary point of contact for Air Force accounts, you will manage daily client interactions, conducting regular needs assessments and providing tailored supply solutions for aviation parts, logistics, and maintenance supplies. Weekly, expect to analyze sales performance metrics, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with internal teams including procurement, logistics, and engineering to resolve issues swiftly. Monthly responsibilities include delivering detailed account reviews, negotiating contract renewals, and tracking key performance indicators such as on-time delivery rates above 98% and client satisfaction scores exceeding 90%. You will lead cross-functional projects, such as inventory optimization initiatives, mentor junior team members on Air Force protocols, and represent SupplyCore at industry briefings or base visits, ensuring alignment with DoD regulations and FAR compliance throughout.
To succeed, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, with a preference for an MBA or advanced certifications like CPCM or CPSM. A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in government or military account management is required, with proven success in Air Force or DoD contracts exceeding $5M annually. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, CRM tools like Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential, alongside deep knowledge of defense acquisition processes, FedRAMP-compliant platforms, and aviation supply chains. Security clearance at Secret level or higher is mandatory, with familiarity in ITAR and DFARS regulations highly valued.
Technical acumen in supply chain analytics, contract lifecycle management, and data visualization tools like Tableau will set you apart, complemented by soft skills including exceptional relationship-building, strategic negotiation, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. Strong communication skills are crucial for presenting to senior military officers and cross-team collaboration, while leadership competencies enable you to influence stakeholders and drive team performance. Industry-specific expertise in military logistics and a customer-centric mindset ensure proactive problem-solving and innovation in serving defense needs.
