In this pivotal role, you will act as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with our organizational goals to foster a thriving volunteer and staff community focused on community impact and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with executive leadership and department heads to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Oversee recruitment processes tailored to non-profit needs, emphasizing volunteer engagement and retention programs to build a passionate workforce. Design and facilitate training and development programs that enhance skills and promote a culture of continuous learning. Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and non-profit regulations. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within non-profit or volunteer-based organizations. Proven track record in strategic HR partnering, with strong knowledge of employment laws, particularly in Ohio. Experience managing volunteer programs and hybrid teams in community-focused settings.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics tools like Google Analytics or Tableau. Strong problem-solving abilities and emotional intelligence for handling sensitive employee matters. Project management expertise to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
