The Production Planner at JTS plays a pivotal role in streamlining manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Monthly reporting on key metrics such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization will be essential, along with leading cross-functional meetings to align on priorities. You will manage material requirements planning (MRP) systems to ensure raw materials are available without excess stock, conduct capacity planning to prevent overloads, and work on continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles. Additionally, you will monitor supplier performance, negotiate lead times when necessary, and support new product introductions by creating initial production plans, all while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork across departments. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, advanced Excel skills for data analysis, and familiarity with MRP and forecasting tools are required. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma certification is highly preferred, as is experience with inventory management software and understanding of manufacturing processes like assembly line operations. Success in this role demands strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and forecast accurately, alongside excellent communication abilities to liaise with diverse teams and stakeholders.
