Proactive Technology Management seeks an IT Support Technician and Office 365 expert in Sterling Heights, MI. Provide top-tier technical support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize Microsoft 365 for seamless operations.

Full Description

Join Proactive Technology Management as an IT Support Technician, the Office 365 Guru, where you will be the cornerstone of our technical infrastructure. This pivotal role ensures that our team operates without interruption by delivering expert support and optimization for Microsoft 365 environments. Your expertise will directly impact our company's productivity, enabling clients and internal teams to thrive in a digital-first world. With a focus on proactive problem-solving, you will help shape the reliability and efficiency of our IT services, contributing to our mission of superior technology management. In your daily routine, you will triage and resolve Office 365-related tickets, including email configuration issues in Exchange Online, SharePoint site management, and Teams collaboration troubleshooting. Weekly, conduct user training sessions on best practices for OneDrive and Power Automate to enhance adoption and reduce support volume. Monthly, perform system health checks, generate reports on usage metrics like mailbox sizes and license utilization, and implement updates to maintain compliance with security standards. Collaborate closely with helpdesk teams, department heads, and external vendors to deploy new features, such as advanced threat protection in Microsoft Defender. You will also lead small projects, like migrating legacy systems to Office 365, tracking deliverables against KPIs such as 95% ticket resolution within SLA, and mentoring junior technicians on advanced troubleshooting techniques. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, supplemented by relevant certifications like Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or CompTIA A+. At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT support with a strong emphasis on Office 365 administration is required. Proficiency in Azure Active Directory, PowerShell scripting for automation, and tools like Microsoft Endpoint Manager are essential. Familiarity with Windows 10/11 environments and basic networking concepts in a Microsoft ecosystem is necessary, along with proven ability to handle enterprise-level deployments. Technical prowess in Office 365 suite applications, including expert-level Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams administration, is paramount. Complement these with soft skills such as exceptional customer service, clear written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders, and analytical problem-solving under pressure. Your ability to document processes meticulously and adapt to evolving Microsoft updates will set you apart, fostering a collaborative and innovative support culture.
