Join Magic Spoon as our Senior National Account Manager focused on Costco and BJ's, a pivotal role that drives our growth in the premium cereal market. This position is crucial for strengthening relationships with these key national accounts, optimizing product placement, and boosting sales volumes to support our mission of delivering delicious, healthy breakfast options. Your strategic efforts will directly impact our revenue streams and market penetration, helping us compete against legacy brands with innovative, low-carb, high-protein cereals.
In this dynamic role, you will manage the full lifecycle of account relationships with Costco and BJ's, negotiating contracts, pricing, and promotional programs to maximize profitability. Daily tasks include analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and preparing executive-level presentations to secure shelf space and merchandising support. Weekly, collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, supply chain, and product development to align on new product launches and joint business plans. Monthly, track key performance indicators like distribution gains, sell-through rates, and trade spend efficiency, delivering detailed reports to senior leadership. You will lead annual business planning sessions, conduct store audits to ensure compliance with brand standards, and resolve issues related to inventory or logistics. Expect to travel regularly to retailer headquarters and distribution centers, fostering partnerships that drive mutual success. Oversee promotional campaigns, from ideation to execution, measuring ROI and adjusting strategies based on performance metrics.
Ideal candidates bring a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, plus 7-10 years of progressive sales experience in CPG, with at least 4 years managing national accounts at club retailers like Costco or BJ's. Proven track record in negotiating multimillion-dollar deals and achieving sales targets is essential. Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce, advanced Excel for data analysis, and IRI/Nielsen syndicated data platforms is required. Deep knowledge of the grocery and club channel dynamics, including category management and trade marketing, sets top performers apart. CPG industry certifications like those from the Grocery Manufacturers Association are a plus.

Strong analytical mindset to interpret sales trends and forecast accurately, paired with strategic thinking to develop long-term account plans.
