Job Description
CTW Cayman seeks a Senior Accountant in New York, NY to oversee financial reporting, audits, and compliance for our global operations. Join our dynamic finance team to drive strategic fiscal decisions and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes.
Full Description
As a Senior Accountant at CTW Cayman, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our international operations, particularly with our Cayman-based headquarters. This position is crucial for delivering accurate financial insights that support strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth across our diverse portfolio in finance and investment sectors. Your expertise will directly impact our ability to navigate complex global markets and achieve operational excellence.
In your day-to-day role, you will prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards. You will conduct detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, manage accounts payable and receivable processes, and perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends. Weekly tasks include reviewing financial transactions for accuracy, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as operations and legal to resolve issues, and preparing cash flow forecasts. Monthly, you will assist in budget preparation, track key performance metrics like EBITDA and ROI, and support internal audits by compiling documentation and responding to inquiries. You will also lead ad-hoc projects, such as system implementations for ERP software, and mentor junior accountants on best practices. Expect to liaise with external auditors and tax advisors quarterly to facilitate seamless year-end closes, delivering reports that inform executive leadership.
To succeed, you need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, plus a CPA certification or equivalent like ACCA. We require at least 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multinational firm with exposure to offshore entities like those in Cayman Islands. Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle is essential, along with advanced Excel skills for modeling and data analysis. Knowledge of tax regulations, including FATCA and Cayman compliance, is critical, as is experience with consolidations for multi-entity structures.
Beyond technical prowess, you should excel in analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving to handle complex financial data. Strong communication skills are vital for presenting findings to stakeholders and collaborating across departments. Leadership abilities to guide teams, adaptability to fast-paced environments, and a commitment to ethical standards will set you apart in our high-stakes industry.
