Job Description
Lead strategic sales for LinkedIn Sales Solutions, managing key accounts in Professional & Financial Services from New York. Drive revenue growth, foster client relationships, and deliver tailored solutions to top-tier enterprises.
Full Description
As the Account Director for Key Accounts in Professional & Financial Services at LinkedIn Sales Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and strengthening partnerships with major clients in high-impact industries. This position is crucial for expanding LinkedIn's market leadership by delivering innovative B2B sales solutions that empower professionals to connect, grow, and succeed. Your strategic leadership will directly influence the company's success in the competitive professional networking space, impacting millions of users and businesses worldwide.
In this dynamic role, you will own a portfolio of strategic key accounts, developing and executing tailored sales strategies to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Daily tasks include engaging with C-suite executives through consultative selling, conducting needs assessments, and demoing LinkedIn Sales Solutions features like advanced search, InMail, and analytics. Weekly, you will manage sales pipelines, forecast opportunities using CRM tools such as Salesforce, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, and customer success to align on client deliverables. Monthly responsibilities encompass reviewing account performance against KPIs like ARR growth, renewal rates, and expansion revenue, preparing executive business reviews, and negotiating complex contracts. You will lead quarterly business planning sessions, mentor junior account executives, and drive upsell opportunities by identifying pain points in talent acquisition and lead generation for financial and professional services firms. Expect to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events to build lasting relationships.
To succeed, you need a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. You bring 10+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, ideally in professional services or financial sectors, with a proven track record managing $5M+ accounts. Proficiency in Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and data analytics tools is essential, along with deep knowledge of CRM, marketing automation, and B2B sales cycles. Certifications like LinkedIn Sales Certification or Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant are highly valued. Strong understanding of financial services regulations and professional services challenges, such as compliance and talent sourcing, is required.
Beyond technical expertise, you excel in strategic thinking, executive-level communication, and relationship-building to influence decision-makers. Your consultative selling approach, combined with resilience in handling objections and negotiation skills, will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Leadership competencies include team collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability to evolving sales technologies. Industry acumen in leveraging social selling for professional networking sets top performers apart.
LinkedIn, the world's leading professional network with over 1 billion members, fosters a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and growth. Our mission is to connect professionals to make them more productive and successful. The New York sales team operates in a collaborative, high-energy environment with modern offices supporting hybrid work, emphasizing work-life balance and continuous learning through LinkedIn Learning.
We offer competitive compensation with base salary and uncapped commissions (salary not specified), comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous PTO including unlimited vacation in some regions. Enjoy perks like stock options, wellness stipends, parental leave, flexible hybrid schedules, and employee resource groups. Bonuses tied to performance ensure high earning potential for top achievers.
