Job Description

Rose Valley Management seeks an experienced Asset Manager in Brooklyn, NY, to oversee real estate and mortgage portfolios. Drive portfolio performance, mitigate risks, and maximize returns through strategic management and stakeholder collaboration.

Full Description

Join Rose Valley Management as an Asset Manager and play a pivotal role in optimizing our diverse real estate and mortgage portfolios. This position is crucial for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and delivering value to investors and stakeholders in the dynamic Brooklyn real estate market. Your expertise will directly impact our company's growth by enhancing asset value and operational efficiency across residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of real estate assets, conducting daily market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for value appreciation. Weekly, you will review financial statements, prepare performance reports, and coordinate with property managers to address maintenance issues and tenant concerns. Monthly responsibilities include developing budgets, forecasting cash flows, and presenting investment strategies to senior leadership. You will oversee leasing activities, negotiate contracts with vendors and tenants, and monitor key metrics such as occupancy rates, NOI, and ROI. Collaboration with finance, legal, and operations teams is essential, along with leading initiatives to underwrite new acquisitions and dispositions. Expect to handle risk assessments, compliance audits, and strategic planning to mitigate market volatilities and ensure portfolio diversification. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master's or MBA preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in asset management, preferably in real estate or mortgage sectors, is required. Proficiency in financial modeling tools like Argus, Excel, and Yardi is essential, alongside strong knowledge of real estate finance, investment analysis, and regulatory compliance such as FHA, Fannie Mae, and local NYC zoning laws. Certifications like CFA, CPM, or CCIM are highly desirable, demonstrating expertise in portfolio optimization and deal structuring. Success demands advanced analytical skills for data-driven decision-making, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation abilities to build stakeholder relationships. You should exhibit strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams, problem-solving acumen for complex challenges, and a detail-oriented approach to financial oversight. Industry competencies in market forecasting, due diligence, and sustainable practices will set you apart in our fast-paced environment.
