Daily tasks include crafting persuasive press releases, pitching exclusive stories to journalists, and monitoring media coverage using tools like Cision or Meltwater to track sentiment and ROI metrics such as earned media value and share of voice. Weekly, you will coordinate with the marketing and creative teams to align PR efforts with advertising campaigns, organize press briefings, and cultivate relationships with influencers and celebrities for authentic endorsements. Monthly responsibilities encompass reporting on campaign performance to senior leadership, planning high-profile events like fashion week activations or product launches, and collaborating with international teams in Milan to ensure cohesive global messaging. Proven track record managing media relations in competitive markets is required, along with deep knowledge of the fashion industry, digital PR trends, and luxury brand positioning. Proficiency in PR software such as Cision, Muck Rack, or Google Analytics, plus advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite for content creation, are essential. A strong network of media contacts in New York and international fashion hubs is highly desirable.
