Job Description

Honest Networks seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance in our New York office. Join our dynamic team to drive fiscal accuracy and strategic growth.

Full Description

As a Senior Accountant at Honest Networks, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our innovative telecommunications company. This position is crucial for delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring regulatory compliance, directly impacting our ability to expand services and sustain growth in a competitive industry. In your day-to-day role, you will prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. You will manage general ledger reconciliations, account for complex transactions such as revenue recognition from network services, and conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Weekly tasks include reviewing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll for our 200+ employees, and collaborating with the operations team to track capital expenditures on infrastructure projects. Monthly, you will assist in budget forecasting, perform cost allocation for departments like IT and customer support, and prepare audit schedules for external reviews. You will also lead ad-hoc projects, such as system implementations for ERP software, mentor junior accountants, and present financial insights to executive leadership during board meetings, ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and engineering teams. To succeed in this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA certification strongly preferred. We require at least 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the telecommunications or technology sector, with proven expertise in GAAP and SOX compliance. Proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle NetSuite is essential, along with advanced Excel skills for data modeling and pivot tables. Familiarity with tax regulations, internal controls, and financial forecasting tools is necessary. A Master's degree or additional certifications like CMA will set you apart. Beyond technical expertise, we value strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are key for presenting complex data to non-financial stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally. Leadership competencies, including team mentoring and problem-solving under pressure, are critical. You should demonstrate integrity, adaptability, and a proactive approach to process improvements, with knowledge of telecom-specific financial metrics like ARPU and churn rates. Honest Networks is a forward-thinking telecommunications provider dedicated to delivering reliable broadband and network solutions across the Northeast. Our mission is to connect communities with cutting-edge technology while upholding transparency and innovation as core values. With a collaborative team of finance, tech, and operations professionals, we foster a supportive work environment in our modern New York office, emphasizing work-life balance and continuous learning. We offer competitive compensation, though salary details are not specified at this time, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching up to 6%, generous PTO starting at 20 days, and flexible hybrid work options. Additional perks feature wellness stipends, professional development reimbursement, performance bonuses, and stock options for long-term equity participation. Advance your career with clear paths to Finance Manager or Controller roles, supported by ongoing training, certifications, and leadership programs. To apply, submit your resume and cover letter via our careers portal, highlighting your relevant experience.
