Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned military accounts, conducting regular needs assessments and presenting customized product and service recommendations. Develop and execute strategic account plans to maximize sales opportunities, upsell value-added services, and achieve revenue targets. Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics, and product specialists, to ensure timely order fulfillment, inventory management, and superior customer service. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the defense sector to provide proactive insights and recommendations. Prepare detailed reports on account performance, sales pipelines, and customer feedback, utilizing CRM tools to track progress and forecast future business. Represent SupplyCore at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to strengthen partnerships and brand visibility. Resolve escalated issues promptly, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees or military experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years in account management, sales, or business development within the military, government contracting, or defense industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2G (business-to-government) environment. Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), DFARS, and GSA schedules. Location in or near Aberdeen, MD, with willingness to travel up to 25% for client visits and events.
Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a client-centric approach. Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and forecasting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms like Salesforce, and ERP systems. Deep understanding of military supply chains, logistics, and procurement processes. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required. Highly organized, with excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities.
