Job Overview Netrix Global, a leading IT solutions provider in Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled Computer Support Analyst I to join our dynamic technical support team. In this entry-level role, you will deliver first-line IT support to end-users, resolve technical issues efficiently, and ensure seamless operations across our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide timely technical support via phone, email, and in-person interactions, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network problems. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and applications to meet user needs. Document all support activities, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system for accurate tracking and reporting. Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and updates to prevent disruptions. Collaborate with senior analysts and IT teams to escalate complex issues and implement solutions. Assist in user training on software usage and best practices for IT security. Monitor system performance and respond to alerts to uphold service levels. Contribute to inventory management of IT assets and participate in on-call rotations as needed. Required Qualifications Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience in IT support or help desk roles, or equivalent internship experience. CompTIA A+ certification or similar credentials strongly desired. Valid driver's license for occasional local travel within Chicago. Skills Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common networking protocols. Strong troubleshooting abilities with hardware components like desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer or Bomgar. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Customer service orientation with a proactive problem-solving mindset. Basic knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP, and cybersecurity fundamentals. Ability to multitask in a high-volume support environment and work under pressure.
